Adam York, PE, GPD

Adam York, PE is a licensed plumbing engineer with nearly a decade of experience designing plumbing systems for complex buildings, including healthcare facilities, commercial projects, and multifamily developments. He is known for practical, well-coordinated designs that support both architectural intent and real-world construction.

Adam began his career in Kansas City after earning a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Missouri–Columbia and went on to work with several engineering and architecture firms on projects ranging from civic and recreational facilities to high-rise residential and healthcare buildings. His experience includes advanced systems such as heat pump water heating and rainwater reuse.

While helping develop the in-house MEP group at Hoefer Welker, Adam established plumbing design standards and BIM workflows for the firm. During this time he also earned the Green Plumbing Design (GPD) certification from the American Society of Plumbing Engineers, becoming the only plumbing engineer in Kansas City at the time to hold the credential.

Adam founded his consulting practice in 2025 to provide specialized plumbing engineering with the flexibility, responsiveness, and technical focus that complex projects require.
